Software QA Engineer
Position Description:
Perform company Software QA (SQA) duties and assist the SQA manager with corporate SQA activities. Support SQA requirements from active company programs. Conduct software process audits, collect and track noncompliance reports, provide QA test witness coverage for formal-level acceptance test events for active programs, support customer software process assessments and audits of active programs.
Basic Requirements:
- US citizenship required
- Bachelors degree or minimum 4 years professional work experience required
- Minimum 2 years experience in software engineering required
- Minimum 2 years experience in CMM, CMMI, or software QA required
Other Requirements:
- Minimum BS/MS in CS or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 to 5 years software engineering experience, including formal level acceptance testing preferred
- Minimum 2+ years experience in CMM/CMMI/SQA, including process audits
- Ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
- Strong written and verbal skills
- Strong teamwork skills
- Ability to perform SQA duties with minor supervision
- Ability to use MS Office, write HTML and web-based documents, and use CM tools (CVS)
- Ability to write software test and audit tools and use company CASE tools (SPR, APRF)
The ideal candidate has strong SQA experience and a background in large scale, critical software systems in the C4ISR industry. Familiarity with the Lighthouse systems is preferred.
