Lead System Integration and Test Engineer
Tasks and Responsibilities:
* Oversee System Integration and Test of electronic products used for Air Traffic Surveillance around the world
* Develop test strategies
* Develop plans and procedures for integration, verification, and validation
* Perform component and system level integration
* Conduct and support lab and field tests
* Prepare test briefings and write test reports
* Maintain traceability of requirements and problem reports to test documentation
* Work as part of an integrated product team
* Communicate clearly and in a timely manner (both written and orally) to the team and customers
* Manage and mentor small group of test engineers
* Provide cost and schedule estimates for proposals as needed
* Keep stakeholders informed of progress and potential obstacles to success
* Comply with and enforce standard operating procedures
* Assist with improvement initiatives, both focused and broad-based
* Participate as Test Engineering representative in product Problem Review Board meetings and chair Test Review Board meetings
Qualifications:
Education Required:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Physics with 5+ years systems or test engineering experience or Masters degree
Years of Experience:
4 - 7 years experience with a strong background in some aspect of radar systems, communications systems, air traffic control, or design verification of complex systems.
Required Skills:
* General knowledge of surveillance systems and data communication (data distribution in various formats and protocols)
* Ability to work effectively with junior and senior engineers, product managers, and various support staff.
* Ability to communicate and coordinate with engineers in other disciplines
* Experience with software/hardware/system integration activities
* Knowledge of test processes and methodologies
* Comfortable in a test lab environment
* Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, including grammar, spelling, and composition
* Understanding of configuration management, quality assurance, requirements management systems, and automated test tools
* Capability to multitask in a dynamic development environment
* Learn new technologies quickly
