Software Quality Assurance Engineer

Ideal candidates will have very strong test design and execution experience with applications and real time embedded systems. Additional consideration will be given to candidates with experience in automated test design and execution.

• Test plan development, test case development, implementation of functional, regression, negative and performance test suites • A demonstrated ability to deliver high quality products on time with a strong customer focus • A firm grasp of quality assurance terms, practices and techniques • Ability to complete process improvement projects as assigned by project leads • Design, maintain and execute manual black box tests scripts based on minimal specifications • Enter reproducible defects into tracking software • Support defect resolution by demonstrating defects to the development team • Follow-up and verify resolved defects

Knowledge - Skills & Abilities Required :

Demonstrated creativity and problem-solving skills • Demonstrated ability to work independently and in a team environment • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • A firm understanding of the software development life cycle • The ability to gracefully handle shifting priorities • The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team members • The desire and ability to work in a fast-paced environment • The desire to apply analytical and reproducible methodologies to the discovery of errors in software • Experience with defect tracking tools • Experience with Windows operating systems.

Education: •BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred • Specify degree area, if applicable: Computer Science Major • At least 3 years experience in Software Quality Assurance
