QUALITY ASSURANCE ENGINEER

Responsibilities:

· Review functional and technical specification to develop test plans and test cases.

· Perform manual testing of e-commerce web sites and applications, including system testing and regression testing, and documentation of results. Contribute and adhere to the overall Quality Assurance best practices, strategy and methodology.

· Demonstrate ownership of all assigned tasks and projects, delivering status updates to management and stakeholders regularly; includes escalating issues and risks as appropriate.

· Debugs software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.

· Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommends corrective action.

· Consults with development engineers in resolution of problems. Job Requirements :

Experience: 2 + years experience in web-based software product and system testing

Experience and strong interest in software, specifically web based software and multi-platform (Win and Mac) preferred

Proven skills in identifying, analyzing and solving problems and knowledge in creating and improving problem resolution processes

Skills:

Strong technical aptitude.

Working PC/Mac skills.

Solid familiarity with systems infrastructure.

Strong verbal and written communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Ability to be pro-active with all work assignments, identifying potential risk areas ahead of time to minimize impact to deadlines.

Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.

Flexible and willing to adjust to operational pressures, often with short notice.

Strong time management, organization and prioritization skills.

Good problem solving and analytical skills, showing a strong attention to detail.

Education:

4 year degree in MIS/Computer Science or related technical discipline, preferred
