Software Quality Assurance Engineer
This position will play a primary role in planning, implementing and executing all aspects of Quality and Testing for Network platforms.
Duties and responsibilities:
· Must contribute directly to build test infrastructure and refine QA process.
· Evaluate proposed software enhancement or changes for correctness and testability.
· Analyze product requirements from Product/Project Management and Technical Specifications from Development.
· Review requirement and design documentation for testability, correctness and completeness.
· Write and implement test plans.
· Design test cases and scenarios based on a given requirement or feature change.
· Execute tests using existing test matrixes.
· Track/report defects using internal bug tracking systems.
necessary skills and education required for the job:
· At least a 4-year college degree.
· 3 or more years of Software Quality Assurance experience.
· Complete knowledge and understanding of the software testing life cycle, QA processes and methodologies.
· Ability to breakdown projects into sub-task and estimate time and resources.
· Excellent oral and written communication and multi-tasking skills.
· Advanced knowledge of computer hardware, relational databases, client-server or n-tier applications and web services.
· Experience with SQL and using mySQL and Oracle database technologies.
· Knowledge of PHP, XML, and testing API’s are required.
· Experience in scripting with Mercury Interactive’s QuickTest Professional and/or other automated test tools a definite plus.
· Knowledge and experience in eCommerce and eMarketing is desired.
