Performance Tester

Position Description:

* Provide performance measurement, monitoring, and analysis to improve the user experience and ensure efficient use of system resources * Work with project teams and third parties to create performance test strategies and establish test environments, including appropriate test users and test data * Design, develop and execute performance tests supporting new development projects and enhancements to existing projects * Performance testing may include a variety of tests which are analyzed for load, latency, throughput and configuration * Analysis focuses on threading issues, connection pool drivers and configuration, error log analysis, memory, and interoperability of products and operating systems * Experience with LoadRunner is required * Experience working with Federal government is preferred

Requirements:

* Significant hands-on performance testing (with LoadRunner in Java, Windows and .Net environments) and development experience to work and solve problems independently * Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) with technical and business stakeholders to understand their requirements and to communicate performance testing limitations and potentials * The ability to work cooperatively and effectively with cross-functional and remote teams * 2 to 3 years experience with load testing software, especially LoadRunner scripting * General programming skills and development experience in J2EE and/or .Net would be a plus * C programming experience would be a plus * B.S. in Computer Science or related field or comparable experience * Must be able to obtain a US CIS clearance
