Senior QA

Job Detail and Responsibilities: • Lead, plan, schedule, and test multiple projects • Provide technical leadership, assign tasks, mentor QA engineers • Review requirements documents and functional specifications to determine test requirements for new products, ensure thorough coverage • Guide team to improve component-level and end-to-end test plans and test cases to world-class level • Work with the QA team to gather and analyze QA metrics, track test progress and product release readiness and report to the management team • Perform hands-on testing, including: • Integration, functional, stress, and compatibility testing of handheld- and web-based products • Website functionality, including software downloads and upgrades • Synchronization functionality of handheld devices (Palm, PPC, Smartphone, iPhone, BlackBerry) on Windows and Macintosh desktops • Stress and performance tests for web applications and handheld devices • Develop and manage project schedules and coordinate releases • Requires occasional work outside of traditional business hours

Qualifications: • 5+ years experience in Quality Assurance • 3+ years experience leading/organizing a QA or development team • Experience leading a test project and supervising a team of software testers from planning to release • Experience with hands-on testing of Web applications • Experience in testing and release on multiple platforms with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet aggressive deadlines • Experience with customer-facing products • Excellent organization and interpersonal skills • Ability to develop a clear and concise testing strategy • Knowledge of SQL is required, working knowledge is preferred • Strong verbal and written communication – must be able to communicate ideas clearly and unambiguously • Motivated and assertive in learning and taking ownership of projects • Experience with hands-on testing of handheld devices is highly desirable

Education • BS or above in Computer Science or related Engineering field
