Lead QA (and Usability) Engineer - Application Software

Review functional requirements and design specifications *

Develop test strategies and methodologies *

Execute test plans and test cases *

Conduct all phases of software testing, including: user testing, application testing, integration testing, system testing, usability testing, acceptance testing and regression testing *

Verify results on supported platforms *

Enter and track defects *

Prioritize bug fixes and release management in coordination with Product Development and Engineering *

Work closely with developers in defect resolution and troubleshooting

Requirements:

*

5-6 years of overall IT experience *

4+ years of hands-on software QA testing for applications with a rich user interface *

2+ years of User Experience based testing *

Strong understanding of software development processes and lifecycle *

Excellent sense of usability and information architecture *

Organized and process oriented *

Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work virtually with off-site personnel *

Creative and self-directing

Desired Experience:

*

Bachelors degree with emphasis on CS *

Deep experience with QA testing tools, defect tracking systems and software life cycle management tools *

Experience with video-centric web services or television *

Experience with scripting languages *

Ability to read and write code in Java and C++ *

QA certifications, such as CSTE and CSQA
