SQA Engineer
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities:
Creative, detailed oriented, and motivated to solve problems;
Ability to communicate effectively and work in teams;
Ability to find software bugs and write concise/logical bug reports;
Ability to create software test plans, test cases, and execute test cases;
Work with the development team to close bug reports (fix and retest);
Participate in software requirement specification and design reviews;
Must be able to perform and document tasks with attention to detail and have understanding of expected outcome of the task;
Detailed written descriptions of problems uncovered in testing;
Revise software testing process to improve software reliability;
Interact with software engineers on software quality assurance with focus on reliability;
Lead technicians on the execution and set up of the software test cases;
Other duties as required.
Supervisory Responsibility: Provide work leadership and training to technicians and operators.
Qualifications:
Ø Education: Bachelor of Science in Electrical, Mechanical, and Industrial of Aerospace or Software Engineering.
Ø Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in software reliability and testing. Required experience also includes UNIX and Windows NT programming, real-time programming (i.e., VxWorks), database (i.e. MS SQL Server or Oracle); Visual Basic Scripting and Java Scripting.
Ø Skills/Technical Requirements: Teamwork, leadership, planning, organizing, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to meet scheduled commitments; strong statistics analysis skills. Technical and formal report preparation writing
