Senior Quality Engineer

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS Member of an Agile Team which completes Unit, Functional, Integration, End-to-End scenario testing Creation of test plans / test cases and regression test software Execute test scripts manually and using automated testing tool(s) Proficient in testing automation, and will be responsible for setting up and maintaining automation framework and scripts in addition to automating manual regression test Interact with Product Managers and Developers in the resolution of bugs Communicating status, issues, and risks with Product Owner and the relevant scrum teams Tracking and escalating incomplete issues to QA Lead/Manager Coordinate test environment / test data setup and maintenance Contribute in sprint planning and review sessions EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), good problem solving abilities, ability to work with technical and non-technical staff, and good organizational skills WORK EXPERIENCE 5 – 10 years experience in a Quality or Development position. Experience in manual or automated testing (preferably in area of business applications) Experience in performance testing & tools would be a strong advantage Must be able to work both independently and within the Scrum methodology Must possess a strong knowledge of testing methodologies and tools (manual and automated) and be able to adapt these to an Agile/Scrum Model
