Software Quality Assurance Specialist

Description

Develop, execute and record results of software test plans. Develop, execute and record results of software validation plans. Perform black-box, guerilla, and regression testing of software products as required. Apply results to bug tracking system. Interact with bug tracking system to monitor fixes and retests. Interact with development team to clarify and resolve outstanding issues. Work with teammates to improve company quality processes. Build, maintain, and document test environments. Help maintain hardware in testing lab. Experience

Bachelors degree in Chemistry or related physical or life science discipline 1-3 years of experience in software development lifecycle and/or computer systems environment (Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Medical Device, etc) Ability to create formalized test plans Ability to execute test and validation protocols and record results Ability to work independently in a dynamic team environment with little supervision Excellent communication skills, written and oral Technical Skills: Familiarity with database technology such as Oracle and MSAccess Familiarity with Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP, MS Office Familiarity with FDA regulations including GxP’s, 21 CFR Part 11 Technical Skills: Familiarity with web-based ASP applications Familiarity with Visual Basic, Javascript, and/or VBscript Familiarity with Linux, Solaris, and/or AIX Knowledge of SQL Server and Visual Basic Knowledge of Automated testing methodologies
