Test Engineer Intern
Education/Experience
1. Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Agricultural or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education/experience (Required)
2. Masters degree (Preferred) Skills 1. Good problem solving skills 2. Project leadership / management skills
3. Machine design or component design
4. Engine dynamometers, engine control and data collection and analysis tools
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment with both hourly and exempt employees from multiple organizations
6. Ability to coordinate work and coach employees from other organizations and departments towards meeting a common goal
7. Design Verification, Planning and Reporting (DVP&R)
8. Some experience with engines and internal combustion - Diesel/gas/alt fuel/aero (preferred)
9. Related intern or coop experience (preferred, but not required)
10. Practical hands-on experience such as vehicle or home repair (preferred)
11. Experience with data analysis, manipulation and presentation and data based decision making
12. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. This includes writing test plans, special instructions, work orders and technical reports.
13. Knowledge in (or willing to learn) test cell instrumentation
14. Knowledge in (or willing to learn) Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools
15. Experience with data acquisition hardware and software
16. Analytical problem solving skills
17. Mechanical aptitude
18. Good planning, presentation, and organizational skills
