Software Quality Assurance Team Lead
-Provide status reporting on projects and resources to manager on a regular basis.
-Assist in developing quality processes and controls.
-Provide mentorship to junior team members on QA process.
-Perform staff evaluations and develop goals for individuals
-This is a hands-on position with 50% of time going towards leadership and 50% towards QA testing activities.
-Design, develop, maintain and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases following well-defined standards and processes
-Able to own the testing in one or more specific application areas and to drive continuous improvement in test coverage and test effectiveness
-Able to execute functional/regression testing of entire application, validate and regress bug fixes.
-Analyze the defects in an N-tiered environment.
-Work well both as part of a group and independently.
Experience includes:
-5 years of software testing experience with enterprise and/or web based applications.
-Experiencing leading software development or QA teams.
-Proficient with test plan/test case development, functional and regression testing techniques, defect tracking tool usage.
-Able to perform unstructured and structured testing.
-Understanding of Quality Assurance tools, techniques, standards and methods desired.
-Excellent people, written, and verbal communication skills.
-Experience with relational database structures and SQL.
-Previous experience and testing in an Agile development life cycle (Preferred).
-Experience with test automation tools (Preferred).
-Proficient in scripting languages, e.g. VB Script (Preferred).
-Demonstrates consistent learning of new technologies and/or finding innovative solutions.
-Bachelors degree in computer technology field or equivalent experience.
