Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer
The main duties will be to create project and feature level test plans and design test cases for Adobe Air and proprietary C++/openFrameworks-based interactive media. This will include participation in design reviews, test design and test case reviews, as well as department-wide initiatives to develop and implement quality assurance ‘best practices’ including project estimation, project planning and test approach. Expertise will be on executing test cases and log/verify software defects and the regression there-of, as well as escalating issues, concerns and suggestions to the development team.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Computer Science, related engineering discipline or equivalent work experience
• A minimum of 5 years of demonstrated work experience in a Quality Assurance organization in the computer software industry
• Knowledge of application development technologies including C++, AS3, XML, DHTML, and Java
• Knowledge of relational database concepts and technologies; MySQL and SQLite experience is preferred
• Demonstrated professional experience developing and executing project and feature level test designs and test cases for web-based, hosted, n-tier systems, web services and windows services
• Demonstrated knowledge in test design techniques
• Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance processes and methodology
• Ability to work under pressure and meet schedule deadlines
• Ability to own the testing of specific features, from test plan and test case design to their execution
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial software development process and life cycle
• Experience in integration, performance, automation, or security testing
• Strong attention to detail
