Manager of Software Quality Assurance

• Manages critical processes necessary to perform the software quality assurance (QA) function. Develops and maintains resource plans. Assists in the development and management of budget. Assists in defining the strategic direction for the QA function. • Provides input regarding technology decisions necessary for the test environment needs. Manages the testing for both manual and automated efforts to stream line all efforts. Manages internal and external clients' expectations related to quality management, and effectively communicates quality standards across all projects. • Provides day-to-day leadership, coaching, and management of staff. Schedules and coordinates all the quality and performance monitoring activities of staff across all projects. • Leads advanced test planning, test design, and test execution. Leads planning and execution for user acceptance testing (UAT). Establishes and maintains QA test documentation templates and standards to support test activities associated with the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

The ideal candidate will typically possess the following: • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, business, information systems management, or related field, or four (4) years of relevant experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted. • Ten (10) years of experience in information technology, including in-depth, hands-on experience in software quality assurance, software development and/or implementation. • Two (2) years experience managing/leading a team of medium to large sized, is preferred. • Proficient in testing large to medium scale software projects involving new application development, as well as maintenance projects. • Proficient with QA processes and methodologies, automated processes, test case design, scripting, and execution.
