QA Engineer

The QA Engineer will be responsible for providing quality assurance support to engineering and manufacturing including involvement in quality review boards, writing and approving specifications, and corrective actions analysis. Will also perform audits and evaluate audit findings for corrective action. This position works directly with customer and supplier personnel in matters relating to quality assurance. The selected individual will be responsible for the following efforts: • Review specifications, both customer and internal. • Perform analysis of quality problems. • Interface with customers to insure compliance with customer requirements as relates to quality systems. • Develop programs that assist manufacturing in consistent quality improvement effort. • Assist with performance of customer audits, and assist customers with on-site audits. • Perform supplier audits and assist in flow-down of requirements and quality system to suppliers. • Evaluate internal and external audit findings for root cause and corrective action.

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university • Minimum of 2 years related experience and/or training in quality assurance engineering in manufacturing, preferably in an aerospace materials company, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
