Sr. QA Engineer
* Develop test scripts and tools
* Research and implement test methodologies best practices
* Develop Test Plans, Test Cases, Requirements Matrix and Test Summary Reports
* Ensure good communication with developers, analysts and other team members
* Provide test status as requested
* Thorough knowledge in test and SDLC methodology
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Some programming and database knowledge
* Knowledge of insurance industry
* Ability to write validation code (for example, SQL statements for data selection)
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills
* Ability to multi-task and effective manage workload
* Analyzes situations to identify causes and draw solid conclusions
* Sets and meets challenging objectives; finds more efficient ways to do things or to improve delivery of services
* Dedicated to meeting and exceeding customer expectations; acts with the customer in mind
* Demonstrates concern for achieving or surpassing objectives; shows passion for improving delivery of services
* Works cooperatively with others to accomplish objectives; focuses on the success of others
* Responds to change with a positive attitude and willingness to learn new ways to accomplish objectives
* Effectively conveys thoughts or expresses ideas in oral or written presentation
* Acts in accordance with standards for ethical judgment that are consistent with the company’s stated values.
* 6 - 9 years Software Test experience
* 3 – 5 years as a Quality Assurance Engineer
* 1 – 3 years Insurance preferred
* Strong knowledge of testing methodology
* Experience with one or more automated testing tools in a lead, implementation capacity
* Web based applications
* Familiarity with defect tracking software
Education Requirements
* BA/BS degree or equivalent. Related work experience may be substituted for educational requirement.
