Performance Testing Engineer

1. Develops, executes and maintains scripts, scenarios and other system monitoring tools for automated load/performance testing, which may include capacity, reliability, availability, failover and performance tests

2. Tracks requirements/SLA coverage for traceability purposes

3. Analyzes application behavior and test results, records baselines and trend development, reports software issues and generates status reports for management

4. Analyzes customer usage and transaction statistics to develop effective models and strategies for load/performance testing; contribute to non functional requirements for projects

5. Trains and mentors junior Automation team analysts; offers guidance on best practices and department processes

6. Applies and upholds software QA methodologies and standards

7. Participates in department- and company-level quality improvement initiatives

* Bachelor’s degree (preferred: Computer Science, Information Science)

* 5 - 8+ years total QA work experience; 3+ years overall (either part time or full time) in performance testing role

* Demonstrated proficiency in at least one high level procedural programming language (VB script or C preferred) as well as SQL/RDBMS concepts

* Demonstrated experience with performance testing and creating scripts / scenarios

* Experience with e-commerce applications and web technologies (HTTP, HTML,AJAX, web services, SOAP, XML) strongly preferred
