Sr Software Quality Engineer

The SQE participates with the development team and other technical disciplines in the performance of sophisticated analysis, design and testing of complex software systems. Other features of the job may include:

• Possesses significant domain knowledge of department products and systems

• Is responsible for the interaction with Engineering and senior level Management

• Works with software process architect to plan, analyze, design, evaluate, and document software of high complexity and contribute to system integration

• Creates strong relationships with external customers

• Has strong decision-making capability

• Acts as a mentor to engineers in areas including domain knowledge and lessons learned

• Participates in preparation of proposals and presentations

• Estimates, tracks, and reports program/project quality performance including cost and schedule

• Leads cross-functional/domain teams

• Provides input to technical & process roadmaps

• Is self-directed

• Has experience with C, C++ and C#

• Has experience in CMMI rating process

• Experience in other traditional quality disciplines (such as Quality or Reliability Engineering or Quality Management) is highly desirable

• ASQ Certification as a Software Quality Engineer (CSQE) is highly desirable
