SQA Engineer

* Requirement Analysis and designing detailed test cases and procedures from requirement specifications

* Test new applications and repeatable testing for existing products

* Ensure all product releases meet or exceed defined quality goals

* Iterative Development and Release Management process experience in an Agile Scrum environment

* Work with business analysts, development teams, and internal groups to ensure customer requirements are being met

* Documents test cases and defects as needed and attends design review/user meetings as needed

* Performs execution of test plan, continually analyzing test efforts for completeness

* Performs system integration, functional, volume, user interface and performance testing on modifications and enhancements prior to production releases through manual and automated techniques

* Develops functional expertise on multiple systems supported by the QA group

* Create, maintain, and run automated test scripts preferably using HP automation tools

* Analyzes failure/success of automated scripts and makes modifications as required

* Bachelor**s degree and 7+ years in software quality assurance focused on Web-based application testing

* 7 years experience with Windows operating systems and applications

* 7 years experience writing test cases and test plans

* 7 years experience using QA testing tools. HP Test Suite preferred, including: Test Director/Quality Center and SQL related tools

* 4 years experience with creating, running, and modifying SQL scripts

* 4 years experience creating test scripts with QTP

* Basic understanding of object-oriented programming principles and the ability to write simple code in at least one object oriented programming language such as java, .Net, or Visual Basic

* Solid knowledge in test automation frameworks such as keyword driven and data driven

* Experience in writing VB scripts within QTP (not just record and play back), including descriptive programming, loading data from datasheets (parameterization), writing nested looping statements, writing functions, error handling, etc.

* Ability to understand the existing scripts (debugging)

* Experience with Iterative Development in an Agile Scrum environment

* Conduct functional testing, regression testing, system-level integration testing, end-to-end testing, and acceptance testing

* In-depth understanding of software development processes and methodologies including their documentation and creation

* Knowledge and experience with version control and defect tracking systems
