The QA lead

Provide Concept Sizing/Test Estimates/Test Schedule/Test Strategy
*
Design, document, and gain approval for test deliverables (to include test automation and/or load/performance testing)
*
Responsible for staffing, recruiting and overseeing work for a QA team
*
Develop Technical Assessments
*
Develop and execute or oversee Test Plans
*
Define the Test Strategy for multiple projects within a specific test discipline
*
Manage software test deliverables
*
Provide input to and report against software quality metrics
*
Influence designs or plans to improve performance or reliability, reduce resource consumption and/or facilitate testing
*
Review Test Deliverables to ensure compliance to the Test Strategy
*
Review Test Deliverables to ensure compliance to standards
*
Review Test Results to validate completion of testing
*
Report metrics and status to business, technical, and management teams.
*
Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
*
Experience working in Microsoft .Net-based development environments
*
Experience working with HP Quality Center
*
Experience working within Microsoft Team Foundation Server
*
Experience conducting load/performance testing
*
Experience with Test-Driven-Development
*
Deep knowledge of web and desktop application technologies
*
Knowledge of relational databases including SQL Server
*
Understanding of web services
*
Experience using SQL Server Reporting Services
*
Design, develop, and execute data driven, reusable and maintainable automated test scripts.
*
Development of comparison of manual test cases and conjunction with automated scripts
*
Candidates with experience with .NET application testing
*
Experience rolling out automation strategies required
*
Excellent communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
*
Ability to clearly communicate with customers, clients, and users at all levels
*
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills are required to handle diverse situations and changing priorities
*
Ability to create clear documentation, to include requirements, technical specifications, and training materials
*
Provide accurate estimates for projects and communicate them to project stakeholders
*
Experience conducting training classes and/or presenting is a plus
*
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
*
10 + years of business experience
*
5+ years of QA team leadership/management
*
4 + years of software testing experience
*
2 + years of automated software testing experience
*
Microsoft SQL Management Studio
*
Proficient in the use of commercial QA test tools to include Visual Studio, HP Quality Center, HP Loadrunner, HP QuickTest Pro
*
SAP knowledge
