QA Director

• Manage a team of internal and external testers, while owning quality and overall user experience

• Continually improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the QA effort by assessing current quality assurance practices and incorporating new strategies

• Anticipate resource needs, recruit resources and develop succession plans

• Define and develop QA best practices for our suite of products

• Guide, review and improve on highly detailed test plans, test cases, test schedules and device matrices

• Daily management of testers including assigning daily/weekly tasks and goals

• Develop and maintain QA metrics and reporting

• Escalate issues, risks and concerns on testing coverage

• Work closely with QA engineers to identify and implement test automation solutions

• Identify usability issues and be an active contributor to gameplay balancing and tuning

• 5-7 years of software/game testing experience

• At least 3 years in a leadership position

• Previous experience working with external test teams

• Excellent communication, problem solving and analytical skills

• Experience hiring and managing both full-time and contract/short-term QA staff

• Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

• A passion for playing video games, casual games and/or mobile games
