SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER
• Developing complex integrated level tests and system level tests (both manual and automated tests)
• Detail analysis and review of product specifications (e.g. product requirements specifications, system, functional and design specifications) to ensure product quality, safety, reliability, and testability;
• Executing and troubleshooting both manual and automated tests
• Identify and document encountered defects
• Conduct Install testing on test environments following the documentation
• Validation of Java and XML based software
• Working with Test Team Lead to develop testing methodologies for addressing the unique challenges of domain knowledge testing
• Expertise with GUI testing and Web Application testing
• Working with Test Team Lead to assist with developing and implementing automation for web based GUI (Flex technology)
• Assist Product Management with providing clinical guidance/expertise to team and incorporating into testing strategies
• Adhering to in-house processes
• Work with development team with troubleshooting and resolving issues found in testing
• Review PLM documentation deliverables and artifacts for readability and correctness
• Identify and document software defects
• Interprets test results and generates test reports, as required
• May provide general guidance or train other team members. Requirements:
• Ability to work with software developers, product analysts and testers effectively.
• Proficient in SQL
• Data Validation experience
• Relational Database and XML experience
• Effective written and verbal communication skills (in English) to facilitate discussions with team.
• BS in Computer Science or related discipline and 5-8 years of software testing experience.
• Experience working within a quality management system and defect tracking system
