Software Quality Engineer
* Plan, document, estimate, automate, and execute software tests for functional, regression and performance testing
* Be an integral contributor to the eTapestry product team by working closely with the product manager, developers and other team members to coordinate schedules, identify task assignments and provide progress updates at daily SCRUM meetings
* Lead the test automation effort using our extended WATIR/Ruby/Webdriver framework
* Push quality upstream by contributing to requirement definitions, project design, code review, and test case peer reviews
* Take ownership of the quality effort in your assigned product areas
* Champion quality assurance and Agile best practices for your product team
* Meet with customers and support staff to obtain typical usage scenarios and/or organize and conduct beta testing initiatives
* Identify and recommend new and optimal testing strategies and techniques
* B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or possess equivalent work experience
* Integral knowledge of software testing concepts and methodologies, including design/code/test case reviews, white & black box testing, equivalency classes, path coverage techniques, performance and scalability testing, regression testing, security issues and other techniques
* Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming or scripting language (Ruby would be a plus)
* Experience with SQL and demonstrable knowledge of database techniques
* Experience creating a testing framework using an open source library such as WATIR or Selenium
* Experience with Web Services: SOAP and REST APIs
* Proven history of self-direction. Ability to carry out complex assignments from beginning to completion with little to no assistance
* Ability to interact with customers on complex technical subjects
* Professional demeanor, adaptable to change and possessing a can-do attitude!
