Senior QA Engineer

· Strong individual contributor with an ability to design tests, execute tests, and analyze test results for website functionality

· Contribute at the team level to ensure that release commitments are met

· Proactively identify and diagnose website, database and performance issues

· Work progressively towards improving QA process for efficient delivery

· Solid understanding and experience with SQL. Ability to write, execute, and analyze SQL queries.

· Experience in testing multi-tiered applications developed using Java/J2EE related technologies

· Hands on experience with one or more of the following application servers: Jboss, Web Logic, Web Sphere

· Hands on experience with one or more of the following databases: MySQL, Oracle RDBMS, MS SQL Server, DB2. MySQL experience is a plus.

· Experience writing functional test cases for both front-end and back-office functionality

· Hands on experience of working with one or more test automation tools such as QTP, shell scripting

· Ability to work in a fast-paced, start-up environment

· Schedule flexibility to ensure overlap with an off-shore team and provide off-hours QA support as required

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Ability to work independently and in a team environment as project requires

· Excellent people and time management skills as well as the ability to take responsibility for deliverables

· BA/BAS in computer science or related field

· 7+ yrs of overall QA experience

· 1+ yrs experience leading project initiatives
