Software Quality Engineer
Lead Quality effort throughout the software testing life cycle to ensure all components of the system is comprehensively tested and ready for customer release
Create, maintain, and execute functional, regression, exploratory, and adhoc tests
Design, code, and implement automated tests in Java
Work closely with the Development team and participate in unit tests review, product design review and technical specification review
Design and setup complex testing environments for end to end testing
Report defects in a timely fashion and work with the Development team to manage defects until issues are resolved
Assist the Quality and Development managers in making solid "go/no-go" decisions for the launch to production
Provide test case coverage and defect metrics to substantiate release decisions
Assist in on-going process improvement efforts related to Quality
Proactively create test cases for the known defects and integrate them into test plans
5-8 years experience performing and understanding the concepts of quality engineering
2-4 years experience of designing and coding automated tests
Strong knowledge of automation tools such as Selenium and/or Silk Test
Strong understanding of Agile development cycle
Strong debugging/troubleshooting skills
Solid understanding of software quality practices and procedures
Proven ability to identify complex software issues, determine appropriate actions and provide solutions
Self-directed and detail-oriented approach to tasks and technical issues
Exceptional communication, teamwork, debugging, and complex problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems
B.S. Degree in Computer Science or related field
