Software QA Manager

• Driving continual process improvement and/or implementation of retrospective ideas within functional areas • Assisting in directing internal resources to achieve defined goals through motivation, mentoring and providing the necessary training opportunities • Integrating organization design and development practices to ensure appropriate partnerships and skill sets are leveraged to achieve business results related to people and processes • Implementing process improvements to meet organizational performance plans within budgets and timeframes • Monitoring, measuring, and reporting on process management issues, opportunities, and achievements; and ensuring all activities meet or exceed organizational requirements • Manages departmental expenditures within agreed budgets by • Providing input into the budget and compiling required financial resources needed to support departmental activities and tools • Securing budget approvals as defined by Company guidelines; authorizing, tracking and reconciling spending against a budget throughout the year • Justifying and securing planned/unplanned resources as necessary to maintain business operations • Manages individual team member performance by • Regularly monitoring key performance indicators to ensure capacity is met by direct reports • Proactively conducts resource capacity planning across all active and upcoming projects • Collaborating with the department Director to establish and adjust goals • Documenting and discussing performance issues directly with each employee; working with Human Resources to establish Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) as needed • Working with direct reports to develop soft skills and technical skills necessary to perform role

Qualifications: EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering or related discipline with an IT focus. • MBA degree or equivalent preferred. • Requires a minimum of seven years of experience in the software development environment with at least three years of management/leadership experience. • Proven experience in a management role overseeing the development of complex software products for external customers. • Technical understanding of current technologies and trends within the
