Software Test Team Lead/Supervisor
The Software Test Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of testing for all software products and services. This individual will also be the primary mentor and coach for new software test engineers.
Working with Windows and Linux systems in a software test capacity
Testing/QA tools and bug tracking software
Testing methods/concepts such as black-box, white-box, and grey-box testing
Execution of tests at all levels (unit, system, etc.)
Creating and executing various types of tests such as smoke, acceptance, usability, regression, functional and performance tests
Provide strategic vision for the testing department that promotes efficiency in tools, personnel, and processes.
Ensures that appropriate levels of functional, regression, automated, usability, and unit testing is performed on products to mitigate the risk exposure of the company and ensure a smooth release.
Report on testing metrics showing code coverage and pass/fail rates; perform all types of tests when needed.
Plan, schedule, and implement testing projects.
Represent the Team in cross-departmental meetings, engineering team meetings, product meetings, and management meetings; you may conduct department and team lead meetings.
Trains new employees and uses team-building skills to monitor employee morale, efficiency, and productivity.
Research and develop an understanding of the marketing requirements for the product features being tested, including how the users use the features and their performance requirements for the features
