We are looking for a QA Intern in our Calgary office, to help automate the testing of our desktop GUIs. This means automating the testing of our Eclipse and Visual Studio plugins.

You will have direct access to the GUI developers and will work closely with them to achieve the ultimate goal, which is to make sure our GUIs are very high quality.

If you love trying to break software and you have strong scripting/programming abilities, we want to talk to you!

This will be a 12 month internship with an expected start date of May 2014.

The Qualifications

Required:

2+ years towards a BSc in Computer Science or related field/degree Programming/scripting experience Experience working on Linux/UNIX Experience working on Windows Comfortable on the command line

Bonus:

Comfortable programming in Perl Experience with software development tools (eg. git, make, etc.) Experience with the Squish testing framework Experience with the Visual Studio IDE Experience with the Eclipse IDE Experience with virtual machines (ideally VMware) Experience with Mac platform Experience with JavaScript Experience using Web Services

Personal Qualities:

Strong English communicator (written and verbal) Willing to pitch in wherever necessary A pleasure to work with
