Software Test Engineer / QA Automation Lead

Design, build and maintain a modular automated testing framework, with input from the QA team, to be leveraged for regression testing, deployment smoke testing and system mapping tasks. Propose solutions and provide ongoing implementation estimates, planning and status updates. Work closely with the QA team to interpret test results and escalate issues as they arise. Some manual testing may be required. Some non-testing programming may be required to build small internal use tools. Document and track defects. Escalate issues as necessary. Assist development with concise and detailed steps to replicate defects. Work with manager and team to prioritize and assume ownership for tasks with the goal of bringing quality software to our clients on time. Work with manager and team to continually improve quality and efficiency. Some overtime and off-hour testing will be required.

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience. 2-6 years experience building and maintaining modular automated test scripts and framework. 2-6 years experience programming in Java, Ruby, C#, Python or equivalent. 2-6 years experience with Selenium-WebDriver, Ruby-WebDriver or equivalent. 2+ years experience with SQL database queries. 1+ years experience with manual black box and gray box functional testing, exploratory testing and regression testing. 1+ years experience creating manual test scripts from use cases, formal requirements and informal requirements. 2+ years experience with web delivered, browser based business applications. 2+ years experience in the financial services technology industry. Well versed with Internet browser technology, Dynamic HTML, sessions and SSL.
