Software Test Engineer

Drive the quality of products and solutions through excellent communication and collaboration skills and effective analysis and risk management skills. Demonstrate testing competency and attention to detail to develop respect and trust with the client and third party vendor. Demonstrate ability to analyze requirements, develop automated and manual test plans, test procedures and test cases that validate requirements. Demonstrate the ability to design and develop reusable and maintainable QA test scripts. Manage all testing initiatives by defining releases, requirements and test processes for the client Create QA test metrics to report on test plan coverage (manual and automated) and project status Create and maintain test data Create and adhere to test design standards Present project status and risks to stakeholders using established information delivery processes Perform acceptance testing on a third party vendor’s new software release, on behalf of the PMO

Experience with Test Automation tools such as SoapUI and Testing anywhere BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or related discipline. 3 - 5 years of software testing/quality assurance experience, including a minimum of 1 years experience with automation tools. Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of software testing/quality assurance metrics. Excellent problem solving, interpersonal communication and project management skills a must. Must have a desire for achieving excellence in customer satisfaction, process and product quality and reliability. Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools. Must have experience working independently and with distributed team members. Knowledge of internet and web services, disciplines and standards. Must be extremely detail-oriented with respect to documentation and communication. Must possess good organization, communication, collaboration, and writing skills.
