Test Architect / Test-Driven Development Engineer

High-level job responsibilities

Assist Test and Dev teams in strategies, tool building, TDD, ATDD, design, and implementation. Be part of a small team that builds and maintains tools and services that benefit test, development, and other departments where assistance is needed. Understand the needs of the business and make technical decisions and tradeoffs based on business needs. Keep up on development and test methodologies, techniques, and practices. Implement and share ideas with others as applicable. Be an expert in software development and test principles and practices. Support educational efforts related to lean development principles. Encourage respect, trust, and understanding within team and company.

Education: Degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated industry work experience.

Required Skills and Experience

Degree in Computer Science or equivalent demonstrated industry work experience. Experience in designing and developing automated tests, test frameworks, test tools, and test infrastructure. Experience using TDD. Experience programming in Java, C#, or C++. Strong communication skills. Quick at learning and understanding new products, concepts, and technologies. Experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows. Experience with lean software development principles. Experience training others.
