Senior SW QA Engineer

PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITES

Develops and maintains automated test frameworks and test cases. Works with development, QA and automation engineers to research, design and develop complex test automation scripts that drives the product in feature, system, and performance scenarios. Integrates individual test cases into overall test suites so they can run back-to-back Provides design documentation for test automation projects Participates in technical review of test automation projects deliverables Participates in product feature design discussion that require test automation Identifies and reports product defects using quality methodologies and defect-gathering tools/commands Acts as an QA application expert in terms of functionality, issues and workarounds This position may perform other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

BS/MS CS/EE or equivalent is required Experience with test automation in testing of networking or broadband services devices Strong coding experience in Python, TCL and Expect Experience with Fanfare is considered a Plus Hand on device configuration and testing networking systems including switches and home gateways Knowledge of configuration and control of external devices and tools for testing Good understanding of testing processes and methodology Must be very organized and detail oriented Significant experience in Linux and Windows system administration Knowledge in WiFi, TCP/IP, HTTP, VoIP and streaming protocols is a plus Experience with networking test tools like IXIA, Spirent/Smartbits

EDUCATION/TRAINING/EXPERIENCE

Must have at least 5 years of experience in test automation Minimum 3 years of experience with networking technologies and routing protocols (TCP/IP, L2/L3 filtering, QoS, IPSec
