SQA Engineer

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for developing, applying, and maintaining quality standards for company products.

· Ensure the coverage of test cases and user identified scenarios. Document and reveal potential problems, identify and log software defects and verify defects resolution

· Ability to create test cases for applications in a SOA environment.

· Ability to thoroughly test the web applications (server & client side) on a standalone basis.

· Ability to perform data validation & data integrity testing on DB.

· Take part in discussion, review and analysis of requirements

· Design tests effectively, ensure the coverage of test cases and user identified scenarios.

· Execute test cases, both manual and automated

· Reveal and document and reveal potential problems, identify and log software defects in bug tracking system, and verify defects resolution

· Monitor and report on testing status throughout the project

Requirement:

· Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science (Master’s degree preferred), related degree, or equivalent experience

· 3 + years in web software testing

· Deep understanding of the role of QA in SDLC, testing processes and methodologies

· Strong understanding of QA methodologies and SDLC

· Knowledge of test design techniques

· Experience in test planning, test cases creation, execution and monitoring

· Strong attention to detail

· Proven ability to learn quickly

· Must have a great attitude, have excellent oral/, written and interpersonal communication and great interpersonal and teamwork skills

· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

· Experience working with at least one Test Management tool (preferably, HP Quality Center)

· Experience working with at least one Bug Tracking tool (preferably, Jira)

· Strong knowledge of SQL

· Working experience of Agile methodology.

· Test automation skills using QTP or Selenium (Selenium preferred)

· Familiarity with Python

· Experience with Continuous Integration

· Experience working with off shore teams

· 4+ years in application and systems-level testing
