Manager, Software Quality Assurance
Providing expertise and driving continuous improvement on QA best practices including; testing processes, testing methods, testing techniques, and testing tools that can be utilized within those methodologies.
Providing expertise on IT policy compliance to include SOX controls.
Providing expertise on Release & Configuration Management practices to include software, data, and environment configurations.
Accountable for the overall quality Technology Services work being delivered to the business.
Foster and enhance collaboration with business and vendor QA teams to ensure deliverables meet the expectations of the business
Establish and use quality metrics to drive process improvements
Assign duties and monitor quality of work; assure staff follows QA best practices, methodologies, and processes
Identifies and communicates key QA responsibilities and practices to ensure the organization promotes quality in all that we do
Build/Maintain a QA team through recruiting, coaching, employee development, communication, and planning
Build/Maintain application and staff plans that support business priorities and utilize these tools to manage expectations of impacted individuals/organizations
Partner with application users to understand current and future business requirements/objectives
Manage the design and implementation of an effective team structure and recruitment of team members with appropriate skill levels
Perform employee evaluations, develop performance improvement plans, and provide coaching and counseling
Education and Experience:
A Bachelorís degree in Information Technology or related field is highly preferred. Requires seven years of experience in Information Technology Quality Assurance with at least two years in a leadership role. Experience in managing a quality assurance team is preferred.
