Quality Assurance Specialist

Duties:

Responsible for making sure there are no defects in all released products Be an integral part of the release cycle for each product Create and automate regression tests for tested products Multi-task between various products Testing both web based and client based applications on multiple platforms and mobile devices. Strong testing skills and attention to detail Technically savvy (know how to write SQL, browser developer tools, etc) Write test cases for the tasks and defects that are part of each release Help maintain the backlog of work items for various products Take suggestions from internal support, implementation, and sales for new ideas Help triage tasks and defects to determine importance Acquire working knowledge of products that are being tested Assist in documentation (release notes, user guides)

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related area or professional experience equivalent. Hands on experience with automating testing Has a high degree of technical understanding and is able to follow and participate in technical discussions Exceptional interpersonal and team building skills Self starter capable of working independently or in groups Advocate for Software Quality Assurance best practices preferred Working knowledge of Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server (TFS) a plus Development background with .NET languages a plus Ability to read and write SQL queries Familiarity with testing both mobile and Web-based software desirable
