Test Engineer Lead

Responsibilities:

•Review product specs and develop the test strategy

•Create test plans and track progress in a dashboard

•Attend project team meetings

•Analyze results (documentation issues, setup issues, software bugs, etc)

•Report and track defects resulting from the test effort in a bug tracking tool.

•Work with software developers and other team members to help root-cause any issues found.

•Ensure all timelines are met according to department processes.

•Provide test team status reports to management and project team members

•Extensive knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in testing real-time software systems

•Proven engineering leadership experience in handling testing of large, complex software systems

•Proficiency with enterprise networking, IT systems (TCP/IP, SNMP, SSH/SSL, FTP/TFTP).

•Knowledge of RFID protocols, middleware, or other software systems that interface RFID reader devices is a plus

•General knowledge of wireless networks, specifically Bluetooth, WIFI

•Understanding of performance analysis of wireless networks

•Experience working with a Web Server and Web services API

•Ability to decompose Marketing/Customer requirements to architect data analytics solutions testing

•Ability to self-start and work with minimum direction

•Proven ability to manage global resources and outsourcing

•Strong verbal and written communication skills

•Ability to work well in a cross-functional team environment

•Strong leadership skills to work efficiently with various team members: testers, software developers, program managers

•Good design and test skills, passion for quality and attention to details

•Ability to think outside the box to find an optimal solution to a problem

•Experience with a test management system
