Software QA manager

Seeking a Quality Assurance Manager with experience in development/technical background. The position demands excellent technical skills and knowledge coupled with strong leadership, planning, and management abilities. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing customer-facing experiences, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, people-management experience, great communication aptitudes, and a motivation to achieve quality results in a fast-paced environment.

Mentor & manage team’s performance and productivity. Track Release/Service Pack/Hot fix capacity and drive overall plan for product. Technical knowledge to troubleshoot issues for quick resolution Recommends process improvements, bringing about efficiency in operations Ability to manage & analyze metrics tracking & reporting

Qualifications

3+ years experience in software and/or program testing and demonstrated leadership skills

Critical Skills

Experience with T-SQL & PL-SQL along with basic database performance measurement & tuning skills Experience with ALM/HP tools is required along with experience in implementing and enforcing established QA processes and standards Strong analytical skills and experience with implementation and administration of Software Quality Assurance metrics, such as defect profiles and performance to entry/exit criteria. Experience directly managing tenured employees including performance management, compensation, and development Must have experience in a customer facing role SQL Database and Client Services experience

Additional Knowledge & Skills

Strong leadership skills that inspire team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner. Understand the broader context of the technology vision, considering the overall interaction between components as well as the applicability of the technology within the problem domain Strong understanding of different software development life cycles (waterfall, iterative) and contemporary software quality assurance processes and automated tools. Develop innovative processes, communications, metrics, and accountabilities that result in process improvements.

Education 4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
