Software Test Engineer

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with the development team and the marketing team to develop test instructions for ensuring the software products to be compliant with the specifications Conduct validation testing according to the test instructions; identify, analyze, and document defects, questionable functions, and inconsistencies in the software products Develop automated test scripts for testing software functions Participate in product design review process to understand the specifications and recommend improvements

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline preferred; a combination of education and strong work experience may substitute for degree 5+ years experience in a commercial software development environment working with the Development staff and Marketing staff to develop test instructions, solve problems, document defects, and improve products. 3+ years experience on using a Defect Tracking system. 3+ years working experience of windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications Experience with automated test script development is strongly preferred.
