IT Quality Assurance Analyst
The Quality Assurance Analyst's role is to develop and establish quality assurance standards and measures for the E-Commerce Department. The individual will gather and analyze data in support of business test cases and systems requirements. This person will be required to write test plans, execute testing, analyze results, and note the chain of events that lead to failures. In addition, this individual will be required to record such issues and verify recorded corrections to confirm fixes are effectively working. This position is also responsible for testing new programming development to ensure the programming meets the users requirements, accurate in its presentation of information, free of bugs and does not change or disrupt the functionality of others programming or systems.
Develop and maintain quality assurance measures, test standards, and test cases for new applications, products, or enhancements to existing applications throughout their development and product lifecycles.
Develop test plans for user interface, functionality, system, and ad-hoc testing. Work in a fast-paced, team-oriented, dynamic environment under aggressive deadlines to keep projects and initiatives in motion and delivered on time.
Execute regression testing, functional testing, and data testing when any new development is completed prior to promotion to Production Environment.
Plan and deliver testing by reading specifications, creating test matrices, writing test plans, setting up test data, and defining test cases.
Work proactively with E-Commerce Dept to assist in diagnosing problems and errors.
Report and track defects by providing reproducible test cases. Work with E-Commerce team members to work through issues, and confirm fixes for reported defects are working.
