Senior Quality Engineer

Primary Responsibilities

Manage and track to closure Quality issues in Oracle Agile PLM Quality Module. Devise, implement and examine the precision and accuracy of existing methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating products. Perform statistical analysis and capability studies on test data and/or field data. Perform measurement system analysis on manufacturing and R&D measurement tools as needed. Lead and/or support the Failure Analysis process (8D) as required. Participate in the FMEA process. Recommend, lead and/or support projects for improvements to the quality system. Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Analyze rejection and yield data from manufacturing partners and lead and/or support root cause and corrective action determination. Develop solutions to quality issues. Study and recommend quality and/or reliability improvements to the existing products/processes in manufacturing and design development. Develop reliability testing programs as needed. Audit and qualify suppliers. Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Experience

S. degree in Engineering or Physics and 7+ years of experience in a quality engineering role in a manufacturing environment, preferably with transformers, power electronics, embedded systems or hardware/software systems in harsh environments. Experience in reliability engineering (specifically testing) and new product development. Experienced with data analysis. Initiative, superior problem solving skills, results oriented, good decision maker, excellent analytically, extremely well organized, assertive, and a team player with situational sensibility. Demonstrated ability to work independently. Extensive cross-functional team experience. History of successfully partnering with key suppliers and critical contract manufacturers to achieve objectives on time and on target to deliverables. Customer focused. Must have strong organization, presentation, and customer service skills. Must have exceptional collaboration and team-building skills. Must be a self-starter who can work independently as well as in a group. Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) is required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
