QA Test Developer

Key Responsibilities

Ownership of our Automation Testing Framework Increase test coverage through automated UI and backend testing Define test coverage standards for automated tests Create, maintain, review and execute test plans, test scripts and test code Identify, document and follow up on software issues Collaborate with all members within and across Scrum teams Facilitate document, process and code inspections Install, configure and troubleshoot software in multiple test environments Take ownership of assigned work to ensure effective and efficient completion Occasionally lead a small team or project Mentor QA Test Developers Help out on the team where ever required

Skills & Experience Required

5+ years of software testing and development experience (Java preferred) Experience with testing frameworks and tools (e.g. Junit, Selenium, MSTest, Coded UI, Watir) Substantial experience with HTML and Web 2.0 technologies Substantial experience building and maintaining test frameworks Experience with scripting for automated deployment and DB management an asset Organized and self-motivated with strong, analytic and troubleshooting skills, problem-solving ability and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communications skills at the business and technical level Strong work ethic, commitment, team work and a sense of humor Flexible in your approach and able to adapt to rapid change Experience with agile development practices Demonstrate a strong sense of ownership which drives you to find ways to do things better, faster, and more efficiently
