Software Quality Assurance Analyst

Essential Functions

Identify and test software defects Create effective test plans and test cases Document and execute test cases and articulate test results Validate whether software requirements have been met Objectively assess production readiness from a quality perspective Track quality assurance metrics such as defect densities and defect counts Review user feedback to determine how to test items Suggest process improvements Other duties as assigned by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills Strong attention to detail Ability to remain organized but flexible in a fast-paced environment Excellent time-management skills, with the ability to handle stress prioritize tasks and work under shifting deadlines Ability to drive multiple projects simultaneously Proficient in Microsoft Office Pleasant with others on the job, displaying a good-natured, cooperative attitude Work independently with minimal direction Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times, with the ability to properly handle sensitive materials concerning the organization Flexibility in a dynamically changing environment, acknowledging urgency when necessary Experience with Scrum or Kanban is a plus

Education and Experience

B.A./B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related area, or a combination of training, education and experience demonstrating the ability to succeed in this position
