Software Test Engineer (QA)

ensure we are testing the right things and discovering/reporting the most useful information acting as a quality advocate for the team delivering useful test assets for the team

focus on good test design emphasize defect prevention lead to process improvement and efficiency

Act as the testing SME (Subject Matter Expert) for one or more product lines Design tests; execute tests for high-performance, reliable code Collaborate with other team members regarding best practices for test standards and policies Train/mentor less experienced personnel on given product lines Train/mentor less experienced personnel on QA/QC process and procedure Keep current on advances in the QA/QC field Collaborate with the Product Owner and/or Subject Matter Expert to gain an understanding of new product features Advise product teams of testing requirements and progress Ability to break down user stories into testing tasks Participate in meetings, retrospectives, daily scrums, and perform sprint review
