3
Enable the browser extension(s) you want to use. In the Primary
Extension field for a browser, choose Enabled. Disable any browser
extensions you do not plan to use by choosing Disabled in the Primary
Extension field and unchecking their other extensions.
4
Select any other extensions that the browser needs for testing such as
ActiveX or fault trapping. We recommend that you do not turn on fault
trapping until you really need it.
Note If you enable support for ActiveX in this dialog, you must
make sure that it is enabled in the Extension Enabler dialog as well.
5
Click OK to close the Extensions dialog.
You can get information about the files used by an extension by selecting an
extension and clicking the Details pushbutton.
Disabling browser extensions
If you testing non-Web applications, you must disable browser extensions on
your host machine. This is because the recovery system works differently
when testing Web applications than when testing non-Web applications. For
more information, see Testing Web Applications with SilkTest.
Procedure To disable support for browsers on a host machine:
1
Start SilkTest.
2
Select Options/Extensions.
The Extensions dialog opens.
