Managing results file information
Procedure To store results in unstructured ASCII format:
1
Select Results/Extract.
The Extract Results dialog appears, as shown in the following figure.

Select a radio button in the Extract To group box indicating the
destination of the extracted output: Window (default), File, or Printer.

Select one or more check boxes in the Include group box indicating
which optional text, if any, to extract. (This optional text is in addition to
the output selected in the Expand group box.) The choices are:

Output Text, which is the output of print statements.

Error Text, which includes text generated by the LogError and
ExceptLog functions, such as exactly where the error occurred and a
full description.

Summary Text, which is a brief description of which tests passed and
failed and the number of errors produced by failed tests.

Select a radio button in the Expand group box indicating which units to
extract information about. Select Scripts, Scripts and Testcases (default),
or Anything with Errors.

Select one or more results sets from the Results to Extract group box.

Click OK.

The extracted results are displayed in the active
window
File
Specify a directory in the Extract to File dialog.
By default the text file has the same name as the
script and a .txt extension
