Working with TestDirector
TestDirector is a powerful test management tool that lets you manage and control
all phases of software testing. It provides a comprehensive view of the testing
process so you can make strategic decisions about the human and material
resources needed to test the application and repair defects.
TestDirector divides testing into three modes of operation: planning tests, running
tests, and tracking defects. In test planning mode, you begin the testing process by
dividing your application into test subjects and building a test plan tree. This is a
graphical representation of your test plan, displaying your tests according to the
hierarchical relationship of their functions.
