About Troubleshooting
LoadRunner relies heavily upon communication between host machines on a
network. If communication is not established properly, the Controller will be unable
to send commands to remote hosts and the scenario will fail. By understanding the
reason for the failure and determining when the failure occurred, you can solve
most of the communication-related problems.
In order to ensure that the problem lies with your scenario and not your Vuser
script, you should verify that your script runs properly on all remote hosts as a
stand-alone:
·
Test your GUI Vuser scripts on Windows platforms using WinRunner.
·
Test your DB, RTE, Windows Sockets, or TUXEDO Vuser scripts on Windows
platforms by running it from VuGen.
·
Test your Web Vuser scripts on Windows platforms by running it from QuickTest.
·
Test your DB Vuser scripts on UNIX platforms by running it from the command
line.
·
Test your UNIX RTE Vuser scripts on UNIX platforms from the RTE Virtual User
Generator.
For more information on running Vuser scripts in stand-alone mode, refer to the
appropriate guide for creating Vuser scripts.
