19. How DTM buffer size and buffer block size are related? - ETL
- The buffer blocks count in a session is equivalent to DTM Buffer Size / Buffer Block Size.
- The default settings will create sufficient number of buffer blocks for 83 sources and targets.
- In case the session requires more than 83, DTM buffer size need to be increased or default buffer size need to be decreased.
- The formula is
(total number of sources + total number of targets)* 2] = (session buffer blocks)
(session Buffer Blocks) = (.9) * (DTM Buffer Size) / (Default Buffer Block Size) * (number of partitions)
